Baseball Recap: Lake Oswego Comes Up Short

Lake Oswego fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Bend on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lava Bears by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Lava Bears this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-5 loss on Tuesday.

Lake Oswego saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliott Wear, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Wear also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another was Carsten Lemon, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lake Oswego's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Bend, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bend beat Lake Oswego by a score of 6-5 later that day.
