Soccer Game Preview: South Lakes vs. Herndon

The South Lakes Seahawks will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Herndon Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

South Lakes is leaving town to face Herndon after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. South Lakes fell just short of Langley by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. South Lakes haven't had much luck with Langley recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Herndon came up short against Westfield on Friday and fell 3-1.

South Lakes suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Herndon in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can South Lakes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
