Softball Game Preview: Niskayuna Silver Warriors vs. Bethlehem Central Eagles

Niskayuna hasn't had much luck against Bethlehem Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Silver Warriors will take on the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Friday just wasn't the day for Niskayuna's offense. They lost 6-0 to Shenendehowa on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem Central faced Colonie Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 2-1.

Emma Hanlon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Niskayuna's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bethlehem Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Niskayuna came up short against Bethlehem Central when the teams last played back in May of 2025, falling 6-2. Can the Silver Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
