Basketball Game Preview: Curtis Baptist Crusaders vs. Community Christian Academy Ambassadors

Curtis Baptist has gone a perfect 6-0 against Community Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Crusaders will head out on the road to take on the Ambassadors at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Last Friday, Curtis Baptist was fully in charge, breezing past Ridge Christian Academy 50-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Maci Butler went supernova, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. Her big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Sa'Renity Calabrese-McIntosh, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Curtis Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Community Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Thursday. They put the hurt on Victory Christian with a sharp 30-8 win.

Curtis Baptist now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Community Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything came up roses for Curtis Baptist against Community Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 54-10 win. In that contest, the Crusaders amassed a halftime lead of 36-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
