The Atlantic Coast Stingrays will challenge the Wolfson Wolfpack at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic Coast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Atlantic Coast came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Paxon School For Advanced Studies, falling 11-3. The Stingrays' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Noah Prudencio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Wade Surber also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Wolfson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Middleburg.

The team relied heavily on Paxton Frederick, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Samuel Sprague, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Wolfson's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Atlantic Coast, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Atlantic Coast has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wolfson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Atlantic Coast skirted past Wolfson 5-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Atlantic Coast have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wolfson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
