Volleyball Game Preview: West Charlotte Lions vs. North Mecklenburg Vikings + Official Tickets

West Charlotte hasn't had much luck against North Mecklenburg recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lions will square off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Charlotte took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Chambers. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, North Mecklenburg posted their closest win since September 9th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Independence, sneaking past 3-2.

North Mecklenburg wouldn't go down easily and took Independence into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18, 15-7.

West Charlotte's record now sits at 7-9. As for North Mecklenburg, their record is now 16-5.

West Charlotte suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Mecklenburg when the teams last played back in September. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
