Volleyball Preview: Channel Islands Raiders vs. Santa Paula Cardinals

The Channel Islands Raiders will be playing at home against the Santa Paula Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Channel Islands will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Channel Islands and Hueneme met for a duel last Tuesday where Channel Islands prevailed. Channel Islands had just enough and edged Hueneme out 3-2.
Meanwhile, Santa Paula didn't have quite enough to beat Fillmore on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Santa Paula took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 15-6.
Even though they lost, Santa Paula kept the net locked down and finished the game with ten blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Channel Islands is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Santa Paula, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
