Basketball Game Preview: Wheaton North Falcons vs. St. Charles East Fighting Saints

Wheaton North and St. Charles East are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Wheaton North Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the St. Charles East Fighting Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Wheaton North beat St. Charles North 61-54.

Meanwhile, St. Charles East earned a 60-47 win over Naperville Central on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fighting Saints.

St. Charles East has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Wheaton North, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Wheaton North didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. Charles East in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wheaton North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
