Baseball Recap: Centennial's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Centennial waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Braswell Bengals. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Bengals last Thursday, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Hayden O was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

O wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nico Baltieri, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Baltieri also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Centennial's record is now 6-3. As for Braswell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-2 record this season.

Centennial is taking a road trip to challenge Panther Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Braswell, they will head out to take on Emerson at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The last seven games Braswell has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
