Softball Recap: Zion-Benton Takes a Loss

Zion-Benton couldn't beat Grayslake Central on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Zee-Bees fell just short of the Rams by a score of 9-7. The Zee-Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zion-Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Grayslake Central, they pushed their record up to 10-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Zion-Benton will take on Lake Zurich at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.31 runs per game on average), something the Zee-Bees will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Grayslake Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Antioch at 4:45 p.m.
