Soccer Recap: Cocoa Beach Wins Going Away Against Astronaut

Cocoa Beach had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Astronaut War Eagles with a sharp 7-0 win on Monday. Considering the Minutemen have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Astronaut with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jadyn Senger (3), Max Perez (2), Malachi Hensley, and Cai Churcher.

Cocoa Beach is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six contests. As for Astronaut, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which is still a better percentage than their 3-14-2 record this season.

Cocoa Beach will challenge Space Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Space Coast will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cocoa Beach surely won't give up without a fight. Astronaut does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
