Softball Game Preview: Goose Creek Memorial Patriots vs. Humble Wildcats

The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots will take on the Humble Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Goose Creek Memorial will be strutting in after a win while Humble will be coming in after a loss.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Goose Creek Memorial and Channelview meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. Goose Creek Memorial put the hurt on Channelview with a sharp 14-1 victory. Considering the Patriots have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Humble fell victim to Summer Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-0. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Goose Creek Memorial's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Humble, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Goose Creek Memorial took their victory against Humble when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 16-4. Does Goose Creek Memorial have another victory up their sleeve, or will Humble turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
