Softball Recap: Pleasant Plains Comes Up Short

Pleasant Plains fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Tri-City on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tornadoes by a score of 5-4. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tornadoes earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Addy Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Pleasant Plains has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-10-1 record this season. As for Tri-City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Pleasant Plains nor Tri-City have any future games scheduled.
