Southern has gone 9-1 against Sterling recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Southern Raiders will look to defend their home court against the Sterling Jets. Southern will be strutting in after a win while Sterling will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Southern was able to grind out a solid victory over Diller-Odell, taking the game 47-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkview Christian.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Southern, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Everything came up roses for Southern against Sterling in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, as the squad secured a 58-31 victory. Will Southern repeat their success, or does Sterling have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
