Softball Recap: Tough Loss for Morrow

Thursday just wasn't the day for Morrow's offense. They lost 16-0 to the McIntosh Chiefs. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For McIntosh's part, Reese Adams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed 3 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Adams was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances while posting 2 runs, 1 RBI, and 2 walks.

In other pitching news, Adams looked comfortable as she tossed 3 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Morrow has now lost 11 of their last 13 games on the road. That's taken a bite out of their 7-20 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-0 Northside (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 73.3% over those games). As for McIntosh, they have now won four of their last five games at home. That's given a solid lift to their 20-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Morrow nor McIntosh have any future games scheduled.
