Basketball Recap: Rockingham County Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Rockingham County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Asheboro Blue Comets 55-22. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-13.

Rockingham County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Layna Strittmatter, who posted eight points along with eight assists and four steals. Brylee Boone was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Coming up, Rockingham County will take on Bethany Community at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Asheboro, they will challenge Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
