South Bend St. Joseph is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering South Bend Washington just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by the Panthers 77-20. The match marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hobart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 37-26 to Lowell.

South Bend St. Joseph's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-5. As for Hobart, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
