Football Recap: Highland Park Skates Past Memphis with Ease

The third road game was the charm for Highland Park, as they earned their first away win of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Memphis Cyclones 55-18. The Hornets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Highland Park's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Luis Sosa was especially locked on to Memphis' QB and sacked him twice. The game marked Sosa's first with multiple sacks this season.

Although Memphis took the loss, they still got scores from Ethan Perkins, Ismael Rodriguez, and Donte Henderson II.

The victory got Highland Park back to even at 2-2. As for Memphis, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Looking ahead, Highland Park will host Dimmitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Memphis, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vega at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
