Preview: Bell Creek Academy Panthers vs. West Oaks Academy Flame
Bell Creek Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the West Oaks Academy Flame at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Bell Creek Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
On Thursday, Bell Creek Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against McKeel Academy, but they still walked away with a 56-50 win.
Bell Creek Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Sanders out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Sanders is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermal Jones, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, even though D scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, West Oaks Academy still came out on top. West Oaks Academy took their game against D 69-62. The win was just what West Oaks Academy needed coming off of a 82-55 defeat in their prior matchup.
Bell Creek Academy pushed their record up to 12-10 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for West Oaks Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.
