Softball Recap: Alexander Comes Up Short

After flying high against Attica on Tuesday, Alexander came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Pembroke Dragons by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Faith Goodenbury made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pembroke, they moved to 8-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alexander will challenge rival Attica at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pembroke is set to face off against their familiar foe Holley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
