Sycamore and Fairview are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The War Eagles will square off against the Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Sycamore is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Sycamore had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Creek Wood on Thursday. The War Eagles never let the Red Hawks get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Dylan Atnip and Dominik Gutierrez scored all four of Sycamore's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Fairview made sure to put some goals up on the board against Montgomery Central on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Indians. Considering Fairview's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Fairview's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for Sycamore, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0-1.
