Soccer Game Preview: Stuyvesant vs. Beach Channel

The Stuyvesant Peglegs will venture away from home to face off against the Beach Channel Dolphins at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Stuyvesant turned things around against Graphics two weeks ago. They blew past Graphics 5-0. The result was nothing new for Stuyvesant, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Beach Channel won against Bowne two weeks ago with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. The Dolphins skirted past Flushing 4-3. Given Beach Channel's advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Flushing are ranked 324th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beach Channel's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Stuyvesant, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
