Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Takes a Loss

Robertsdale won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They had to suffer through a 48-9 loss at the hands of the Mobile Christian Leopards. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Bears in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now lost three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Robertsdale lost, don't look at Dixie S Baggett. Despite the final result, she posted two points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Makayla Mitchell, who earned five points.

Robertsdale's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Mobile Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Robertsdale will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Mobile Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 78-57 loss against Bryant on the 17th.
