Baseball Game Preview: Westside Rams vs. Emerald Vikings

For the second straight game, Westside will face off against Emerald. The Rams will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m.

On Monday, Westside was able to grind out a solid win over Emerald, taking the game 7-2. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Henry Perry looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Westside let Brody Caudle and Jacob Holmes run wild. Caudle got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI, while Holmes went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Caudle has become a key player for Westside: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 4-8 otherwise.

Emerald is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10. As for Westside, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
