Soccer Recap: Eaglecrest Triumphs

Eaglecrest was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Hinkley Thunder 1-0. Eaglecrest wouldn't have won without Keegan Wiezorek, who scored the game-winner.

Eaglecrest's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Hinkley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eaglecrest will take on Cherokee Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Eaglecrest's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Hinkley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denver West's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Hinkley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
