Basketball Recap: EJ Lundy Key Part of a Team Effort in Fury Win

Fountain Inn won the last time they faced Southside and things went their way on Saturday too. The Fountain Inn Fury walked away with a 58-47 win over the Southside Tigers.

Fountain Inn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was EJ Lundy, who posted 15 points. Lundy continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Terry Cunningham, who put up 12 points.

Fountain Inn's record now sits at 6-8. As for Southside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fountain Inn will venture away from home to square off against Pendleton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fountain Inn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for Southside, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
