Fans were treated to a battle of the Cardinals on Tuesday. Benton came out on top against Lawson by a score of 2-0. Benton hasn't had any issues with Lawson recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Benton easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18.

Benton's victory bumped their record up to 5-11-1. As for Lawson, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. After both having extra time off, Benton and Lafayette will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Fighting Irish at the right time seeing as the Fighting Irish are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lawson, they will challenge Plattsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
