Madeline Garcia posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Saturday. She rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 240 yards and one TD while completing 76.5% of her passes. Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Rancho Cucamonga back in September of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Garcia's passing game has become a key predictor of Downey's success: the team is 5-1 when her passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
