Baseball Recap: Climax-Scotts Comes Up Short

The Climax-Scotts Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the Olivet Eagles on Tuesday and fell 6-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gavin Eyre was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Gilbert, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Climax-Scotts' loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Olivet, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Climax-Scotts nor Olivet have any future games scheduled.
