Volleyball Recap: Porter-Gaud Comes Up Short

Porter-Gaud was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the James Island Trojans. The Cyclones were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Porter-Gaud sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 18-25, 18-16.

Porter-Gaud's defeat dropped their record down to 21-18. As for James Island, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-9-1.

As of now, neither Porter-Gaud nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
