Basketball Recap: Lambert Falls to Walton in First Game of Season

Lambert unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 66-56 to the Walton Raiders on Tuesday. The Longhorns were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Lambert lost, don't look at Parker Whipple. Despite the final result, she posted 34 points. Molly Taylor was another key player, putting up seven points.

Walton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lambert will venture away from home to take on Dawson County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Walton, they will head out to face off against Cambridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
