Basketball Game Preview: Reading Blue Devils vs. Wyoming Cowboys

Reading is 1-9 against Wyoming since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Reading Blue Devils will challenge the Wyoming Cowboys at 7:30 p.m.

Reading is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They fell 44-37 to Madeira. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS are ranked 345th).

Meanwhile, Wyoming put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Taylor as Wyoming made off with a 60-38 win. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Wyoming's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.6 points. As for Reading, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Reading took a serious blow against Wyoming in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 62-20. Can Reading avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
