Soccer Game Preview: Ignacio vs. Alamosa

Ignacio is 0-10 against Alamosa since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Mean Moose at 4:30 p.m. Ignacio has given up an average of 9 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ignacio is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game two weeks ago. They came up short against Montezuma-Cortez, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, Alamosa strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Bayfield with a sharp 6-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Alamosa, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Bayfield with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Araceli Molina (2), Jayden Wubben (2), Leah Higareda, and Noemi Lemus.

Alamosa pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Ignacio, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Ignacio suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Alamosa when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
