Basketball Recap: Idalou Comes Up Short

Idalou was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 61-46 to the Shallowater Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 813th, while the Mustangs are ranked 141st).

Idalou's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Shallowater, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Idalou is set to face off against their familiar foe Muleshoe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shallowater will square off against rival Littlefield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
