            Basketball Recap: Walton Braves vs. Andrew Jackson Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Walton can now relate to. They took a  blow against the Andrew Jackson Tigers on Wednesday, falling  74-30. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 245th, while the Tigers are ranked ninth).
 Leading Andrew Jackson to victory were  Jahari Simmons and  Tay'Vion Lawson.  Simmons  dropped  a double-double with 13 points and 12  assists, while  Lawson  went 7-for-9  en route to 14  points. Those 12  assists gave  Simmons a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jayden Williams, who  went 7-for-9  to rack up 12  points.
Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Andrew Jackson, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 18 of their last 19 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record  this season.
 Walton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Andrew Jackson, they will square off against Marianna at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Marianna knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Andrew Jackson likes a good challenge.
