Volleyball Recap: Franklin Academy Takes a Loss

Franklin Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cooper City Cowboys.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Franklin Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sofia Hernandez had 30 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathalia Crespo, who had 22 digs.

Franklin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cooper City, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Franklin Academy will face off against Sheridan Hills Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cooper City, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Fort Lauderdale on the 18th.
