It was a good run, but Eastern unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost to the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets on the road by a 63-44 margin. The Warriors were probably out for revenge after losing 48-17 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fayetteville-Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cara Rummel, who went 10 of 15 on her way to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Rummel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryley Kleemeyer, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Fayetteville-Perry, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Eastern has already played their next contest (against Jackson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fayetteville-Perry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-38 loss against Minford on the 25th.
