Soccer Game Preview: Herndon vs. Langley

The Herndon Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Langley Saxons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Herndon didn't have quite enough to beat Wakefield and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Langley came up short against West Potomac on Thursday and fell 3-1. Langley have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Langley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Herndon, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Herndon came out on top in a nail-biter against Langley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
