Volleyball Recap: Southeast Takes a Loss

Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Riverton Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-16.

Braelyn Sutton paced Southeast's offense, picking up three kills. Sutton got some help from Elena White and her five assists.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Riverton, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Southeast has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Erie on the 4th. As for Riverton, they will head out to take on Baxter Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season.
