Volleyball Recap: Southeast Takes a Loss

Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Riverton Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-16.

Braelyn Sutton paced Southeast's offense, picking up three kills. Sutton got some help from Elena White and her five assists.

Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Riverton, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Southeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Erie on the 4th. As for Riverton, they will challenge Baxter Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
