Volleyball Recap: River Ridge's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

River Ridge lost against Cartersville back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cartersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mckenzie Wilkie, who had nine digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, River Ridge fell to 4-1. As for Cartersville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, River Ridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Cobb Christian at 5:00 p.m. As for Cartersville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Harrison on the 9th.
