Jeff Davis won the last time they faced Wheeler County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Yellowjackets breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 53-24. The Yellowjackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jeff Davis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bree Coney, who dropped a triple-double with ten points, 15 boards, and ten assists. Coney is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brylee Wyatt, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 21 points.

Despite the defeat, Wheeler County had strong showings from Nikita James, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, and Derrionna Madison, who had three points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Jeff Davis' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Wheeler County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Jeff Davis will take on Pierce County in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeler County and Bryan County will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
