Baseball Recap: Newberg Takes a Loss

Newberg lost against Forest Grove on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newberg saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zadek Bowlby, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Newberg's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Forest Grove, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

While Newberg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
