Volleyball Game Preview: Selma Bears vs. Hanford West Huskies + Official Tickets

Selma is 2-8 against Hanford West since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bears will head out to challenge the Huskies at 6:30 p.m.

Selma came up short against Kerman on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Selma was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-13, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Hanford West hadn't done well against Exeter recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Huskies walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Monarchs.

While Hanford West might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Exeter scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22.

Selma's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Hanford West, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8-3 record this season.

Selma might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Hanford West in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
