Baseball Game Preview: Clifton Mustangs vs. Eastside Ghosts

For the second straight game, Clifton will face off against Eastside. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Ghosts at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Clifton turned things around against Eastside on Monday. They came out on top against the Ghosts by a score of 8-4.

Trevor Rascher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Clifton is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-10 otherwise. Rascher was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andy Gracia, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Nate Pendola was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Eastside dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Clifton, their win bumped their record up to 3-11.
