Streator came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Wilmington, but Ryan Nelson wouldn't allow it. The Wilmington Wildcats escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Streator Bulldogs by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50 thanks to Nelson, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 20 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Another player making a difference was Brysen Meents, who posted eight points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games he's played.

Wilmington's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for Streator, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats face off against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Streator, they have already played their next matchup, a 52-48 loss against Morton on the 19th.
