Softball Recap: Sherman Takes a Loss

Sherman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-8 to the Cross Roads Bobcats.

Jordyn Plumlee was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailiann Causey, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cross Roads, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Sherman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Independence on the 17th. As for Cross Roads, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-5 defeat against Taft on the 15th.
