Basketball Recap: Oxford Comes Up Short

They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Starkville Yellowjackets. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Starkville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
