Softball Game Preview: Greenville Red Raiders vs. T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets

The Greenville Red Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Things were looking good for Greenville after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hillcrest. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Red Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, T.L. Hanna had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Volunteers.

T.L. Hanna got a great performance from Madelyn Davis 2030 as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Kendall Coakley 2029 was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Meredith Huggins 2026 also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

T.L. Hanna pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1.
