Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scotts Valley). They blew past the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs 45-21 on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their seven-point performance the game before.

When it comes to explaining why Monte Vista Christian lost, don't look at Evan Vessey. Despite the final result, he threw for 266 yards and three TDs while completing 80.6% of his passes. Boston Ashe was in the mix as well, providing the Mustangs with two scores.

Scotts Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Monte Vista Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.
