Basketball Game Preview: Enochs Eagles vs. Pitman Pride

Enochs hasn't had much luck against Pitman recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Enochs Eagles will host the Pitman Pride at 7:30 p.m. Pitman took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Enochs, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Enochs didn't have too much trouble with Gregori as they won 66-51. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Jaguars are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, after a string of 13 wins, Pitman's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turlock.

Enochs' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Pitman, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-2.

Things could have been worse for Enochs, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-54 loss to Pitman in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Enochs, Justin Anderson (who made all 12 shots he took for 28 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
